Designer Dupes: Affordable Fall Peep-toe Booties

Happy Tuesday Shoesday loves! The inspiration for today’s post comes from hours spent drooling over the feed of mega-famous instagram fashion bloggers I follow. I’ve been following Caitlin (@cmcoving) for a few years now, and I find that I consistently love the pieces that she styles. Unfortunately, a fair amount of her posts include pieces from retailers like Nordstrom- which I LOVE, but aren’t always the most affordable.

With fall right around the corner, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect transitional shoes. Booties are an obvious fall staple, and the peep-toe version makes them an even cooler choice for the next few months in Knoxville, TN. We tend to have pretty mild weather before transitioning into fall, and peep-toe booties seemed like a great option to help bridge the gap between sandals and boots weather.

I came across these booties on Caitlin’s feed and immediately fell in love. Naturally, I clicked the link in her blog to find them at Nordtrom… and saw the price. $149.95. Yikes. (you can find these booties here).

I became determined to find some more affordable alternatives, and I’m so happy to report that I was successful! Not only are most of these options less expensive than the originals, but most of them are actually on sale as well! All of the booties below can be found at Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW).

indigo rd

Indigo Rd Ispark Bootie in “Taupe”. $29.99. Find them here.

These were definitely my favorite of all the booties I came across in my search. That doesn’t surprise me, considering they are the closest thing to the Kristin Cavallari booties. I loved this style so much that I ordered them for myself! At under $30, these are definitely a steal. On the DSW website, they have received 90 reviews, with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5. Most people rated these true to size, and said they were very comfortable. These are 0.75 inches shorter than the Cavallari bootie. I’ll let you guys know my thoughts once I receive my order 😉

steve madden

Steve Madden Kyma Bootie in “Taupe”. $34.98. Find them here

Although these look kind of awkward to me in their product picture, these boots are pretty cute on. In the review section, several people have posted pictures wearing these booties. They have received 6 ratings, with an average rating of 4.5. Most people found them to be comfortable and true to size. Steve Madden makes great shoes, and pretty much every pair I’ve had have held up nicely over time. These are just a tad (.75 inches) shorter than the Cavallari booties, but I believe the price difference makes them a great option.

vince

Vince Camuto Jadelle Bootie in “Tan”. $49.98. Find them here.

These booties were the priciest option of the group, but probably the best deal. Vince Camuto is a well-known designer, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about their products. Considering these booties retail as high as $159, getting them under $50 is a steal. They come in four neutral colors including Taupe, Tan, Brown, and Cognac. The heel on these booties is the same height as the Cavallari booties, but is more wedge-like. These received 4 excellent ratings averaging 4.8 stars. Most people said these were comfortable and true to size. If I hadn’t ordered the Indigo Rd booties, these would be my next choice!

white mtn

White Mountain Gemini Bootie in “Tan”. $39.98. Find them here.

These booties had the highest ratings online of the whole group- 4.9 from 15 reviews. They are probably the most comfortable choice, with a heel height of only 2.75 inches. I thought these were a great deal, since they typically retail for $80. But, to be honest, these were probably my least favorite option of the bunch.

I can’t wait to style these perfect fall finds with a few of my other favorite pieces. Be sure to check back later and see for yourself! Don’t forget to subscribe if you enjoy this kind of content 🙂
